Vision

• Imparting theoretical and applied knowledge of economics, conducting research on socio-economic problems at regional and national level for inclusive development.

Mission

• To prepare students for acquiring applied knowledge of economics to enhance their employability and entrepreneurship.
• To undertake quality socio-economic research for regional development and to create socio-economic database on Marathwada.

Objectives

• Excellence in teaching- learning and research: Preparing students for modern day challenges and global competition and carrying out research with focus on the issues relevant to the local community is at the heart of the teaching learning and research process of the department.

• Student Strength in Increasing Our department has undertaken various activities to create awareness about social Economic phenomena in our Students like, Ex-Field survey in Agribusiness Industry, Consumer satisfaction survey ,Poster Presentation of Economic Theory etc.
• Arranged Programs for overall personality development of the students
• Our department maximum students form ruler and hilly area and they are healthy.
• Department Students participated in sports activity, trekking and cycling activity.
• Department result of UG and PG increasing every year.
• Department faculty motivate to students job oriented counseling
• Department faculty  members organize medical and educational kit donation progamme  for hilly areas poor student and motivate them for education.
• Department Introduced new Bridge Courses for  illiterate based as per  local needs 

(e- banking ).

• There is no permanent faculty post of Graduation and Post-Graduation in our department
